Hey guys and gals,

I know we must have some amazing chefs out here that want to provide some secret recipes past down from generation to generation. Thought making an EGO cookbook would be a different change in pace in our "Off-Topic" area. Let's do it.

What you need to do:

"Name of the recipe"
"Ingredients"
"How to make"

Example:
Best Grilled Cheese
  • 2 pieces of Texas Toast
  • 4 Slices of sliced cheese (Real stuff not fake)
  • Salted/Unsalted Butter (real butter not fake)
  • Bacon bits (optional - real stuff)
  • Sliced Jalapenos/Onions (optional - spicy)
Get a frying pan and heat it to medium heat then lower it a couple notches, butter the outside of the toast or throw the butter in the pan to coat the toast on it. Add the cheese on top of the toast (2 and 2), (throw the bacon bits + jalapenos on top), let it cook for a little bit checking to be sure you aren't burning the toast (times may vary), combine the toast where it makes a grilled cheese sandwich (cheese is melted basically). Boom, done.

Self Rising Flour
One Stalk of Green Onion
Shredded Cheddar Cheese (to taste)
Water
Vegetable Oil
How to Make:
  1. Combine Self Rising Flour, Vegetable Oil, and Water in a mixing bowl. The dough should not be a liquid, and should hold form once shaped to a desired size.
  2. Cut 1 stalk of green onion into small pieces and combine with dough
  3. Add Shredded Cheddar Cheese into dough
  4. Model into desired shape then place onto an oiled baking tray
  5. Bake in Convection Oven for 10-15 minutes at 375 Degrees Fahrenheit

Easy and Delicious Cheesesteak Sandwich (MAKES 2 PORTIONS)

INGREDIENTS:
  • 16oz Ribeye Steak
  • 1 White Onion
  • 2 12" Italian Hoagie Rolls
  • 1/3 Cup of GOOD QUALITY Mayo
  • 15oz Jar of Kraft Cheez Whiz
    OR
    8 Slices of Provolone Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper

STEPS:
  1. Take the steak and put it on a metal tray, then put the tray in the
freezer and leave it there for about 45 minutes to an hour.
  2. In the meantime, grab your onion and proceed to dice it to a preferable
size for being in the sandwich.
  3. Take your steak out of the freezer and slice it as thin as you can with a
sharp Chef's knife. Once sliced, divide into 2 equal 8oz portions.
  4. Get your rolls, and spread the mayo equally on both in an even layer. Then,
heat up a non-stick skillet and toast the rolls until golden and slightly crisp.
  5. Preheat a Cast Iron or Stainless Steel skillet on the stovetop and throw
some neutral, high heat oil on the pan.
  6. Throw one portion of the sliced steak on the pan, give it about 1/2 minute, then
throw on the other portion of sliced steak. Continue searing that until almost brown and
beautifully seared, seasoning with Salt and Pepper to taste halfway through.
  7. Divide the portions in the pan, leaving a divot in the middle. Add the chopped onions to
the pan and allow to cook for about 2 minutes, making sure to flip and cook them evenly.
  8. Once the onions are somewhat grilled, mix it in with the rest of the beef and allow to
cook for just 2 more minutes, making sure to not overcook the steak.
  9. Divide the Steak and Onion into 2 equal portions, and line it up to be somewhat vertical
as to make it easier when transferring to the roll.
  10. IF USING PROVOLONE CHEESE
Add the slices on top of the meat now, lower the heat of the stovetop, and add a lid on the
pan to allow the cheese to melt. Once melted, grab your roll and place it on top of one portion
of the meat, and using a flat spatula, flip the roll so that all the meat stays inside it, wrap in thin
    aluminum foil, and enjoy!
  11. IF USING CHEESE WHIZ
Grab a saucepan and add about half the jar to the pan. Heat on the stove until melted and
then lower the heat until ready to spread. Grab your toasted roll, and then spread a
layer of Cheese Whiz on the bottom. Repeat the process with the roll and meat from Step 10,
adding an extra drizzle of Cheese Whiz to the top of the sandwich before closing, wrapping, and
    most importantly, eating :)

Homemade Cinnamon Rolls - Summer Style

Ingredients

Dough (used for basic rolls as well)

3-4 cups of All purpose flour
1/4 cup of sugar
1 TBS active rise yeast
1 tsp Salt
3/4 cups of Water
2/3 cups of Milk
4 TBS Butter (real stuff)

Cinnamon mix
1 stick of butter (real stuff)
1 TBS Cinnamon
1/2 cup of Brown Sugar

Mix together till formed

The Cream Cheese Drizzle
1 package of Cream Cheese (8 oz)
1 stick of butter (real stuff)
1 cup of powdered sugar
1/2 TBS vanilla extract

Mix together till formed

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees, in a bowl or mixer (use a mixer for sure if you have one and dough hook) combine the Flour, Sugar, Salt, and Yeast and whisk them together so that they are mixed well. In another bowl (microwave safe) add your milk, water, and butter (cut into small pieces) and throw it in the microwave for about 1 minute and 30 seconds till hot. Combine the hot mixture with the flour mixture (using a dough hook on mixer or hands) and mix till the dough is in a ball (5-10 minutes). (add small amounts of flour if sticky). Once that is done, cover dough in a bowl or just use the mixer bowl for 5 minutes for it to rest. Get at 13 by 9 glass baking dish or dish in general and butter the hell out of it, the real butter.

Clear out a place to be able to beat the living hell out of the dough, add small amounts of flour to the area so it doesn't stick and begin punching and kneading for 10 minutes (its a workout for sure). Use a rolling pin and flatten as much as you can. Add the Cinnamon mix and spread almost evenly. Roll the dough like you are rolling up a rug or newspaper. Cut about half an inch pieces and put them in the baking dish till filled. Dash some water on the top to prevent the dough from drying, throw into the 180 degree oven for 20 minutes (rises the dough a little more before actually cooking). Take out of the oven once 20 minutes are done and rest for about 5 minutes while the oven preheats to 375 degrees. Once preheated, throw them back in for 14-16 minutes (tops will be a little brown when done). Take out of the oven and let cool (5-10 minutes) (if you can resist), add the cream cheese spread on top and BOOM. Done. Smells wonderful and is yum.
