Permanent Skin?

Ok guys, read this first before you post: I am INCREDIBLY technologically challenged, its almost unbelievable, so if this is a dumb question, that is why.

So I've been surfing Fpsbanana for a new awp skin, because I'm tired of the one I have now. I've found a really nice one( a .50 cal hehe) so I dl'd it, and I extracted all the folders the the cstrike folder. So I go to test it out, and my old skin is still there, and not the new 50 cal. Then I go back and try to extract the folders again, and it asks me if I want to overwrite what is supposedly the same folders I already put in. So I do that, and I test it out and the old skin is STILL there. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks guys.

That happened to me once, I reinstalled and everything was fine. I have no idea what causes this.

Delete your old skin first, then Put the new skin, or delete your cstrike folder (Will erase all skins and Configs)
