For all my fellow esports fanatics out there I thought I would inform you guys about Overwatch Contenders and their upcoming matches!
As of today, October 29th, it is day two of NA and EU OW Contenders or OWC for short.
OWC is essentially the 'T2' of competitive Overwatch. Overwatch League scouts their players from OWC and they used to have quiet a few academy teams, however Boston Uprising Academy is the only one still remaining due to Covid-19. For a comparison, Contenders is essentially college football and the Overwatch League is the NFL. They aren't truly linked but players for Overwatch League are brought up from Overwatch Contenders. Overwatch titles this system of leagues and competitive play Path to Pro.

So, now that you're caught up on Overwatch Contenders, today at 1:50pm EST or 10:50am PST EU Contenders matches will be streamed and once they finish up they will move onto NA matches. If you like Overwatch and want to improve your competitive play, I highly suggest watching. These players practice for upwards of eight hours a day for these tournaments, they are truly the best of the best. In fact some of these teams are a lot better than most Overwatch League teams.
