Question about this part list

Hey, normally I don't really care about specs or whatever bc my pc can run tf2 and im fine with that. However, with future of games like Cyberpunk looking amazing and the next millennium when TES6 comes out and ultra modded skyrim, I'm concerned that my current pc will not be able to keep up. So I thought I could put together a part list and would like some thoughts on said part list.

All the stuff is great and would work fantastically. It's mostly top-end parts.

Make sure that cooler fits in the case too - check dimensions over.

You do know that graphics card is going to be insanely expensive though, right? And likely pretty overkill. You'd likely need to beef up the PSU too a bit, to be safe.

I suggest this list because it doesn't waste money on things you don't need. Namely the 3700x because when you oc the 3600 the numbers fall in line with each other for a good price drop. If you want the best in cpu performance, you have to go to intel as of right now (namely the i5 10600k is top tier after oc), because the new 5000 series amd chips haven't released and we don't know how fast they will be until 3rd party reviewers benchmark them. You could also change the gpu out with a amd equivalent when those come out, but for now the 6800x amd gpu has not hit the market. Simon seems to be slightly mistaken on price though because the 3090 is $1500 not 3.5k. This price is shown because of 3rd party venders selling the cards with a extreme markup. Unless you want to do professional work I don't see the need for a 3090. Last point to make is you should have a high end monitor >= 1440p to see any reason to go for the 30 series gpu. 1080p games just wouldn't ever need a 3080 to run it and the pc would just go to waste if you are using it for 1080p gaming.

also psu could go up to 850 to safety over time (reference) but since I haven't had an issue with this before I didn't put it in list. (list with updated psu)

My point was more that it's an insanely expensive card for what they likely want to do. All the prices show up wonky as well for me due to conversion to my currency and importing fees. I can't even see the proper pricing in this country right now lol.

Yea, that card seems a bit overkill. You'd be best going for a top of the line card in the 20 series. They'd be just a little older, but much cheaper
 
Like a few people have mentioned I have seen and heard that others are having issues where sometimes 30 series graphics cards request higher power draw than specified I would get a stronger PSU probs 1000W

Edit: okie maybe not 1000w

You 100% do not need a 1000 watt psu for one 30 series card unless you are doing some competition Ln2 oc or something.
 
Ngl 450watt non rated psu with two rtx 3090's is the way to go am I right?

You should go with a 3080 considering the price of that 3090
 
Thank you to everyone replying to my questions, I now have a much better understanding of what and how, but I do have one more tho, why would some people recommend and AIO vs a fan cooler?

AIO has some have some pros and cons over air coolers:
Pros:
Slightly better performance based on noise level
Looks better
Easier to install
Cons:
Not as reliable long term
pump noise when not installed properly can be very loud
 
Give it a month or so for amd to release all their new stuff, brand new cpus and gpus, ryzen 3000 will be cheaper, and if you still want top end for cheaper the 6900xt looks promising and its only $1000.

So I took the time to look into this video, the case recommended, and aio to kind of scout out how it would look and it would seem I need to install it on the front with the hoses down. But looking at the case specs, the radiator length isn't "supported". I see that the case can accommodate 140mm and 120mm, but the length(s) of 120, 240, and 360. So how then would I install the 277mm radiator? Would I just try and install it at the top?
 
3090 is super expensive and really overkill, at least drop to 3080

if it doesn’t support anything higher then 277 it won’t fit
 
I would go with an Intel I7 9700K with an X470 board. Even though there is a difference of 8 threads (x3700 8 core 16 threads, 9700K 8 core 8 threads), the X3700 leads in streaming and heavily threaded apps like rendering, encoding, and compression; 9700K leads in everything else. The X3700 and the I7 9700K are both at base clock of 3.6GHZ but the 9700K’s turbo mode is at 5GHZ while the X3700 is at 4.4GHZ. The i7 9700K is a little cheaper. As far as the graphics card, Nvidia released the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 TI and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 TI with Mid-Range GA106 GPU and the price is below $500. Now that you saved a $1000 on the video card, I would get a 1000watt PSU.

Rose Rose Sorry I didn't see the reply until now, but the radiator should fit in the p400A (the purple 1 shows where to install it) This would mean the radiator would be towards the inside of the case with the fans on the outside. I don't see any problem with length of the parts. (image of finished build in the case for reference.)
thanks, still a little scared as this is the first pc im building, and reading that you can break an aio if you install it wrong. Thanks for the info and pic.
