I do, for only guns though not remodeling maps. Before i go into a CAL server though i put the folders on my desktop because it wont let you into the server with them.

No, I don't use skins, But I don't like when people say "O, skinz make u s0 3p1c" or "Skinz make u suck teh nuts"
Unless you got a Skin that makes every Player blend in with the background, they don't effect you , at least IMO.

It depends on what game I'm on.

I rarely use skins on TF2, I feel it will just ruin the art style intended.

On games like CS:S, I'm much more leniant, and use custom skins very frequently.

I use skins just because of the fact that you can make things look alot better than what Valve made them to be IMO

TF2 Without Mods
Eyecandy: 9.8/10
Fun: 10/10
Atmosphere: 9/10

TF2 With Mods
Eyecandy: 10/10
Fun: 10/10
Atmosphere: 9.5/10

So, does it make the game better?
Yep!

But how much?
I would hate to play without them.

I use skins in CSS and TF2. My 15 yr. old son does a lot of skinning, mostly weapons and i like to encourage his creativity, plus the're cool!
