Announcement New Rule Regarding Backseat Gaming

No backseat gaming or mid-map coaching when watching
someone's shared screen or spectating a game without permission.

I know a lot of you guys have been helping each other out and giving newer players tips and that's amazing! I really love seeing all the love and support you guys have for each other and I want to see that continue, however I want people to go about it the right way. It can seem rude or off-putting if new member joins a voice channel, share their screen, and are told what they are and aren't doing right without asking. Some people want help with their gameplay and others do not. Some people take criticism well and others do not. I want to make sure we are only giving people advice or help with their gameplay if they specifically ask for it, or if you specifically ask if it is okay to do so, hence why this rule is being put in place. From here on out I would like everyone to make sure they are getting permission to coach other players. I don't want anyone to misunderstand me, giving a tip when someone is asking a question in chat or just giving advice is different than backseat gaming or mid-map coaching. You can still be helpful, give advice, etc.

TDLR: I don't want anyone giving gameplay critique without permission.​

Cool, really glad to see this being addressed. It was an issue the last time we tried OW within eGO and quite frankly turned me off playing the game. Had to hide myself when I wanted to play casually. (which is all I played, so super competitive tips were not appreciated)

I want to make sure people can feel like this is a safe environment to play no matter how they play. Some people aren't trying to be super competitive with the game, so why put them down? If people want help they are free to ask, but not everyone wants help.

Great attitude to have. Maybe I'll have to reinstall and visit sometime soon... I liked the core gameplay a lot.
