There is still quite a bit of work ahead, but we appreciate everyone bearing with us as the primary EdgeGamers Discord went down for maintenance and received a significant facelift. A focus on community interaction and conversation is at the forefront. Our main Discord server should provide our members and players an area to centrally chat. No matter your preferred game, it's the one place we can all come together and participate in some basic chatter.
Specialty Teams have relocated to a secondary Discord server to keep things better organized and keep our primary server very focused. Quickplay games like Overwatch, Call of Duty, and Destiny2 have setup their own servers as well to cater to their player bases needs in a fast paced matchmaking environment. World of Warcraft and World of Warships also have their own servers. You can join these servers by utilizing the !discords command in any channel on our EdgeGamers server.
Where I mentioned that work is not done yet, what can we still expect on the way? Let me provide you a preview below.
- Finalize permissions for ranks & channels. There's still a few small pieces to plug in.
- Creation and utilization of Official News, Event News, and Server Updates reaction roles for members to enroll in notifications.
- Auto assigned member and admin ranks via MAUL integration. Your =(e)= =(eG)= or =(eGO)= rank will be automatically granted.
- Auto assigned DEDICATED SUPPORTER roles are coming to Discord. Flaunt your Silver, Gold, Platinum or even ROYAL subscription in Discord.
- Addition of Starboard to generate a "top voted posts" section of Discord. This will be configured in the coming weeks.

One $25 Amazon Gift Card will be given away to a random person within the TOP 25 on our level leaderboard. You are able to earn experience and rank up by participating in chatter on the Discord server. Don't think you can just spam your way to the top though, the system is smarter than that. Every minute that you're messaging, you randomly gain between 15 and 25 XP. To avoid spamming, earning XP is limited to once a minute per user. In the server, you type !rank to see your rank and level. As an added bonus, we will boost the chances of the Top 10 in the server by drawing an additional random member within the TOP 10 to win a $25 Amazon Gift Card as well.
A third $25 Amazon Gift Card will be given away to a random member who shares screenshots in the #screenshots room. Post your gaming screenshots, majestic or not, in the #screenshots channel for an additional chance to win. There are no restrictions on how many screenshots you share, but the more you share out the more opportunities you have to win. We will select a random photo based posted at the end of the contest period to win the gift card.
The final $25 Amazon Gift Card will be given to the Voice Channels MVP who drives conversation in the Voice Channels on Discord. Constantly chilling in the Music channel or just gaming in the Games Lounge room? You'll be a shoe in for this gift card.
