REAL POST
I've notice that medic's seem to be strangely skilled at pyro. IE NinjaFluff and Captain Mental. also that snipers play spies or in Thatguy's case SOLDIER. Anyone else notice other connections?

This is why I really I never stick to one class. By playing every class (heh..minus scout), my experience with strategies and playstyles is always expanding, and I can usually figure out the best way to tackle a situation based on the opposing team. It really is invaluable to be able to see all the angles and use that information to lead a team.

I usually play sniper, and am a decent spy. I'm not one of those bad ones that walk with their team while disguised and 5 seconds after they knew you saw them, they cloak, only to find themselves running away from 2-4 people

Awww, a compliment from Noobkiller! Thanks buddy :D

LOVE me some Pyro, and yeah, am at least a decent medic. Also swear by the stickies, Sharp will attest to that one.

This is something i have noticed. Medics make good pyros usually. Demos and soldiers seem to go hand in hand. For some unknown reason a couple of great spies, are pretty darn good heavies. I think its just a correlation of skills and similarities between classes.

Take the pyro and medic. They both heal. The pyro sterilizes the other team, and the medic heals his team. But they both have a ranged freeflowing attack. The medic also usually has to hide, to keep alive. Thus allowing them to know good ambush positions. So on and so forth.

For me i try and play as many classes as i can, its always good to know the strategies of each class.

Those are some good points, soulnothing. I was thinking the same thing, about how Pyros and Medics both end up following players in nearly the same fashion.

As for demos/soldiers... well, for me it's an innate desire to blow people up :-)

Actually for me, pyro and spy go hand in hand. I guess because I play both classes as ambush hit-and-run classes they follow suit with each other. I generally retreat and advance in the same situations.

Interesting. However I am so good at medic I can't play anyother class to save my life. Medics make good pyros, I've noticed that. I also seen a few demo/pyros. (Cinda, AzzNik) But then there is the Spy/heavy Jehuty. Not sure how that one fits together.

playing scout has teached me to fear pyros and by all coasts try to evaid them witch led me to be a better spy.

And I also see ironyc connection - my 2 of 3 favorite classes are spy and engie, and playing spy actually gives a chance to better see spys while playing engie.

And there IS connection between spy and sniper.

Play Engy for long enough ( ~100 hours ), and you become extremely adept at spotting who's a Spy and who's not. The days of getting backstabbed are over. :D

Pyros and medics? Hmm, i'd say they are quite similar opposites if that makes any sense.

They are both classes with short range attacks, they die often and need to sneak to survive.

Personally, i'm gung ho in both and i play similar style with both. Not only that, i find those two classes to be fairly easy to play :)

I see a connection between the Heavy and the Pyro, it could just be because I stared off as a heavy and moved to pyro and was really good once i started as one

Medic, Die often??? Speak for yourself. :P I don't do suicidal runs like pyros do.
I'll give you that most pyros like to do suicide runs, but hey give some of us credit. :( Just because sometimes I like to circle strafe and burn turrets doesn't make me suicidal. It just makes me crazy. I will admit I sometimes die often though as a medic because for some reason when I play a combat/offensive medic who doesn't latch onto someone like a symbiote and instead tries to needle and bonesaw people to death, I don't play as carefully as I would with a pyro.

It's more about what fits your play style. I am good at offensive sniper, soldier, and scout. It's just in me to push forward to the objective at all times. I love the fast pace game. Spy and heavy are more of a slow paced and tactical game. Heavies move slow and have to wait for the right time to pop out and push a whole team back, and spies have to be patient in planning a kill. That is why people like jehuty are relatively good at both. The reason I personally like the sniper, soldier, and scout, is because you can have complete control over your enemy. When I play medic, not matter how good the other person is, I can't stand the thought that I am having to trust someone else to kill things for me.

basically what that guy said is true, i feel that you go with styles that suit how you play. I don't really like playing engineer because you have to stay by your gun most of the time. I like to try and push people back with basically sniper, soldier, demo, and pyro. All classes that help attack
