Some strong Anti-Cheat talk from Jackfrags:
Battlefield 6 MUST have a decent anti cheat system and I would love to see more done by DICE and EA to tackle cheats in their games. Let's discuss the issues at hand and offer some ideas up! Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching. Cheater spectator footage from www.youtube.com/majofl68

As long as they use the same engine, the cheats will continue. Honestly, at this point, EA/Dice need to develop a cheat program that no one knows how it works or what it checks because the idiots over at UC are incorporating measures to combat against the antiquated AC software as well as developing cheats BEFORE the titles are released.

They did the same to BF1.
They did it with BFV
And they will do it with BF6.

Since when did Battlefield 6 came out? Did I miss something?
It's not out yet. If it hasn't happened yet, EA/Dice will send work-in-progress copies to streamers to preview. Jackfrags is simply pointing out that EA/Dice needs to learn from their previous titles in order to make BF6 more salivating.

Yep. still only seeing "q4" of 2021 as the date quote. though BF:6 will definitely be out for Christmas shopping next year...in all its rushed buggy glory ..

Unfortunately this conversation is pointless and fruitless because EA can't seem to find the "WILL" to implement any process that bans an account even though it is in the EA User Agreement: Section 7 item C which states:
Section 7
C. Monitoring and Anti-Cheat Measures
EA utilizes technologies to detect and prevent cheating in the use of EA Services, and in particular, EA Games. These technologies may be developed by EA or a third party.

When you launch an online-capable game, these technologies may activate using kernel, admin or user privileges, and monitor your gameplay and device’s RAM, processes, communications, and file storage for the purposes of detecting violations of, and enforcing, the Code of Conduct in Section 6, including the use of Unauthorized Third-Party Programs. An Unauthorized Third-Party Program is a third-party program or file (such as a "add-on", "mod", "hack", "trainer", or "cheat") that EA believes (i) enables or facilitates cheating of any type; (ii) allows users to modify or hack the game interface, environment, and/or experience in any way not expressly authorized by EA; or (iii) intercepts, "mines", or otherwise collects information from or through the game.

EA may collect relevant information needed for our investigation and enforcement purposes such as your account information, details related to an Unauthorized Third-Party Program, any EA PC Game files that were modified, and times cheating was detected. We also may terminate your License and your EA Account if we determine you have been cheating.

When you exit an online-capable game, these anti-cheat technologies will be deactivated.

Secondly, EA will not let the rentals come back, which was the only other way for us to keep the game flowing and balanced!!

As stupid as it may seem this really has come down to EA does not give a care about cheating, So I will not purchase BF6 until they change and provide PROOF that they will implement an "ACTIVE" Anti-cheat
program that works before they release the game!!

PS: JackFrags owned EA and Dice in that video!! lol

I don't have many plans on picking up BF6 for a variety of reasons, but, this one is one of them. I haven't played BFV in a while for specifically this purpose. It's actually funny; whenever I would encounter a cheater, I would hope into spectator mode and record them for getting them banned, however, with BF1 and BFV, 100 percent of the time, someone already got video of them on youtube. And JF drives the point home, regardless of the length of time that video play was recorded, the cheater is. Still. Playing. The. Game.

Rockin, you are only partially right. JF might have owned EA and Dice in that video, but, whenever we encounter a cheater and record the video to send to them, we partake in that owning as well.

Excellent point. I actually watched this video and saw the blatant cheating. I would have to imagine that the people that are posting videos on youtube are putting them in their reports to EA.

So why aren't these people getting banned? Is EA flooded with a ton of reports of people who aren't cheating?

I don't get accused of cheating very much but it does happen from time to time. It makes me smile of course, but then I wonder if I have actually been reported because someone is just mad. I would think EA would be able to do a quick analysis of my account or at a least take a snapshot of the time the report was submitted to see if my stats were far outside the norm of my typical skill or skill of a human being.

The video above shows a person with an LMG getting tons of quick headshots. The data from this should scream cheater and it should be an instant ban. Again it's shocking this player is still playing 5 days later.

The streamer talked about several steps to help the next BF become more successful in several ways, but the fact that the first step isn't even there is just shocking. Is it really that difficult to create a system where the reports of cheating to EA take a quick analysis of the account and puts them at the top of the list as a "likely cheater" for EA to at least get the obvious cheaters banned? Look at the reports that have a youtube video next? At this point, cheaters know they are winning, wont' quit, and have no incentive to stop anytime soon.

EA poured all these resources into the wrong areas to try to get the game more popular. This firestorm junk that never took off, removing dedicated servers where communities could easily handle stuff like this, I just dont get it. This BF was discounted by 50% the quickest I have ever seen. I would imagine the next one will been even quicker if this stuff doesn't get fixed.

I agree. There are a plethora of reasons why people are not getting banned. Could be general staffing issues within a division of EA that processes these reports, confirmed "player definitely looks like they are cheating" but unconfirmed solid evidence, right down to a bunch of reports from salty players simply reporting a player for cheating because they killed them a few times in a game and how dare they. It could also include that EA can say "we are doing everything to curb cheaters ingame" ..but not doing much of anything. It's definitely a problem, and, if I can discover posts on an open form that host downloadable cheats for their games, then they can to. They need to pick apart those cheats and patch them so they do not work.

Honestly, it should go beyond using automated software to just patching the mechanics of cheat.exe out of the game so it no longer works. i.e. Frostbyte engine next revision. They HAVE to know that the engine is broken enough that there are workable cheats from day one.

I would think that EA discounting BFV by half so early would be a sure-tell sign that they need to do something. There will always be cheats in any MP title and I would like to assume that EA, who is like any other company and likes money, would tackle this head on. I know I'm not alone with my decision about purchasing BF6; just can't feel good about my decision if I'm going to encounter some cheater in game 60-70 percent of the time.

Played against that MochaVibing guy. Thought he just had a great gaming chair.

So many cheaters out there nowadays. I don’t know why people do that. Probably for fun, or they just like to get everything right away. as for me, cheating is the killer of fun. It’s a pity there are no really effective anti-cheat programs in most online games.
All we can do now is be careful, report suspicious players, and never accept anything from untrusted sources. According to https://latesthackingnews.com/2021/02/04/how-hackers-are-infiltrating-the-world-of-online-gaming/, hackers can even send fake game update emails to players in order to get them to click a fishing link. Once you click it, they can get access to your PC.
