I just gave Garden a post about the house area's in the shoutbox and he set me up with my permissions. Took about 2 minutes. They might be super busy right now though, this was late night last night sometime.

as for admin groups and forums like that
you need to click My Usergroups on the left side of the page
i think theres a post on the home page saying what to do
