About Yourself: Travelled all over the country for various career training and field training. I was a 3C051 - Communications Computer Systems Operator. Basically an IT guy. My deployment cycle kinda was a blessing. First chance was right when I joined and was still in training, so wasn't sent. The second time I was serving on the base honor guard and wasn't sent. The last time I was sent to Florida to help maintain the Relcan Secret US/Canada network. I was blessed to not have to go into direct combat and see friends lost. I have much respect for those that did. As stated earlier, I served in the base honor guard for 6 months and did around 85-90 funerals in 6 states, traveling about 30,000 miles in that time. A lot of long days traveling too and from military funerals.

I know my post doesn't have a place here and Sixx, you can feel free to delete it, but as one who's had MANY family members serve in the military, I want to personally thank each and every one of you for all that you've done. I know you probably hear it a lot, but I feel not nearly enough. Thank you.

Rank/Rating: Petty Officer First Class/Aviation Structural Mechanic (Structures)
Branch of Military:US Navy
Years Served:1997 - 2004
About Yourself: Joined up at 18 and circled the globe twice before turning 21. I worked on F/A-18 C Hornets in VFA-94 and VX-23. Every single day of my seatime (1 year 3 months and 10 days) was spent on the flightdeck of the USS Carl Vinson CVN-70 where I worked as a troubleshooter helping to fix Hornets while online (aircraft that have technical problems while having the engines running). My specialty was advanced flight controls but I was crosstrained on radar, engines, fuel system and electronic warfare/weapons systems. I recommend the service to anyone, it was the greatest thing I ever did in my life and was proud to serve. Also to all the future navy/airforce/army pilots out there reading these lines, its "my" airplane! Your just borrowing it so take care of her!

Name: Dennis Wetmore
Rank/Rating: Specialist (E-4)
Branch of Military: U.S. Army Rangers, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Platoon, Ft Lewis, WA
Years Served: 1999-2002
About Yourself: I joined the Rangers in '99 to get some money for school and to learn some cool stuff to impress the ladies back home =)

I was initially trained in a Ranger Line squad (small arms only, no Heavy Machine guns) for CQB movements on Airplane hangars. After about a year, I was promoted to the Radio-Telephone-Operator (Ratelo) for my platoon, which was a really sweet job. I had a couple close calls, but my time was up by the time the Iraq stuff came around, so I never had to go there. That's me in a nutshell.

Now I'm using that money to go to school, and I'm in my Senior year in Business Administration (Marketing).

Branch of Military: Royal Canadian Artillery, Canadian Forces.
Years Served: 2
About Yourself: Currently at CFB Gagetown working in Whiskey Battery where we train officers and other ranks on their many different courses. I am waiting to go to regiment(2RCHA, preferably) so that I may go overseas to Afghanistan and finally use the M777. I spend 170+ days out in the field a year with the battery so it gets busy. I'm trained on the 50cal, Carl G, 9mm, small arms... C2, C3, LG1 howitzers.. I have my driver and air brakes courses...

It took us 12 minutes to stop, deploy the gun, fire 4 rounds and then hook in and leave. We know what we're doing. :)
