Razer Blackwidow keyboard

So I just found out that this mechanical keyboard is on sale right now. My question is would the price be worth upgrading to a mechanical keyboard by chance? The only thing I know about mechanical keyboard is that they're noticeably loud when typing, especially when gaming.

I always say buy what feels best for you. Go to the computer store and try out keyboards and see what you like (bring hand sanitizer and a mask of course).

I tried some keyboards but keep coming back to my G510 still..

The noise a mech keyboard makes will dime you out if you're gaming while in a TS meeting with @Legend .

If you're worried about noise level for mechanical keyboards, get a red key. Some are quieter than others but red keys are the quiet ones while a blue key sounds like a damn typewriter (which I don't understand anyone who uses these keyboards)

But mechanical keyboards are far superior than membrane keyboards. The response time is superior, you'll rarely ever have ghosting keys, etc. Anyone playing games should be using a mechanical keyboard (my personal opinion).

hey, blues are the superior mechanical switch. ive tried reds, browns, blacks, romer g's pretty much everything under the sun, and no matter what product line it was, the blues were always the king.

Matter of preference. I hate blue keys. Can't stand the stiffness of the key and I hate the typewriter sound. Would never/will never use a blue key. Just my preference though.

Brown switches don't have the click but they still have the tactile bump of the blue... which for me... means a stiff key. I can't stand those keys. Red switch all the way. No bump, no click, just a nice linear key press. It really just comes down to matter of preference though, really. Certain things you should never buy directly online unless you've tested it out in a store before hand. Keyboards and mice are in that category of "try it before you buy it"

I had a this exact keyboard and just replaced it with Razer huntsman tournament edition. Quieter and smoother but a bit more sensitive. The blackwidow did me good for 5 years though,

i actually just got a blackwidow 2 days ago, this is godly compared to my old K55 ive had for 4 years. I really like clicky switches so this is not only way better in the sense that I get no more ghosting but also in the sense that i get sex to my ears.
