Sorry if I appear pessimistic, but "they" aren't losing anything. Citadel bought Melvin for dirt cheap. The most powerful just get more powerful. There are less players, but the game is doomed.

If robinhood is free (if it's free you're the product), it's because they use your data to analyze market, or just run some front-running business on your back (or both).

Actually they have to pay the short end of every day. That's why trading was suspended, They wanted to make sure those short could cover (Regulated Capitalism).

Some Hedge Funds could actually go bankrupt. But, if they can stay in it will make money long term.

Robin-hood probably gets kickback from trade fees. As users go up, so do fees.

But they get all the other assets they had. They filed for bankruptcy because they did not have the cash.

No Cash = No Hedge Fund = No Income

Not saying some of them won't go out and get loans on their houses or reputations to make money and start over.

Seriously tho! Did you see my quote above? $19B in loses! And that's only on GameStop see here

Who cares about the platform for trading? At the end of the day, these hedgefunds had no idea this was going to happen so it's not valuable for the data analyzers.

Hedgefunds can buy each other out or give a loan to pay the shareholders back, it does not matter. The result is the same: they will pay it back or be out of a job.

Whatever happens. This is more of a Protest from Within as opposed to the Protests that were literally out on Wall Street. Basically, I believe, WallStreetBets is not trying to change the system just make it aware of the issue, and maybe their presence. Sad I didn't get in on it. Not a big Reddit person.

Watch these two movies:

The Big Short & Too Big to Fail

You'll be pissed!

If I hear one more thing about stocks I might just rage.

Holding 8 shares of AMC, took a 14% hit just off today from this morning when I bought in. You bet I'mma keep holding with these diamond hands.
