It takes all of a few seconds and you can just set it as a bookmark to open the site. Seems like something quite trivial.

Don’t even need to really “login”. Just load the forum page and that’s it. Unless you’ve been logging in and out on every visit for some reason.

Not to mention as an admin you should be checking the forums for any changes, ban contests, and updates at least once a week.

The inactive feature was no doubt intentional and higher up leadership probably wants players to stay updated on the forums, takes no time to come on and check the corresponding game group for updates.

Personally, I think it's always a good idea to keep up to date on the forums to a degree, at least once a week isn't a big deal. However, I do know lots of people don't want to be bothered with forums... so, I get that.
