ok so im thinking of what my first car is going to be, and i narrowed it down to three cars.

2005 Subaru Impreza WRX Sti

2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution

2001 Audi S4

i can afford each of those cars, so now i just have to pick, help me out

It all depends of the area you live in, where I live I consider Honda Civics, Subarus and Mitsubishis as a plague, everyone has one and no one EVER finishes installing that body kit.

So my suggestion would be go with the AUDI, make it look nice without going all "Fast and Furious" on the world, is not original anymore.

Spend your extra money on a nice set of wheels, locks, insurance and alarm system.

You won't regret it.

EVO's are great cars, but I'd say Audi. They're looked upon highly, better than Mitsubishi, even though it's an '01. Just don't get a hybrid, stick with those cars, they're all good buys if you can get them for your first car. I drive a '99 V6 Malibu LS.

Well, if you go for a sporty car and dump money into it, I don't want to hear a peep out of you about gas prices!

The Subaru pretty much needs Plus or Supreme gas. The Lancer and Audi are even worse on gas. But if gas prices aren't an issue, I would probably go for the Subaru if you like that car. I know people who drive Subarus generally really love them.

I'd generally go for a car with the better gas mileage.

One of my coworkers is really into performance. She drives the Impreza and loves it. A caveat on any performance car: It's not just gas, maintenance is very costly. Tuning up your Impreza involves lifting the engine to get to 3 of the spark plugs, so it costs a heck of a lot more than your average tune up. I imagine you'll get similar situations with the others.

You can use your money any way you like. I'm not an environmentalist, but at this point, if I could afford any of those options, I'd be buying a Toyota Prius. I'd actually prefer the Honda Civic (and that doesn't have to be hybrid--the normal version performs pretty much the same as the hybrid), but it's stolen a lot in California.

If I wanted a bit more space and "luxury" I'd go for a Camry or Accord. I think both will do better on gas than the list mentioned above, and they're cheaper to have worked on.

I love the evo the only thing is I would get it one way all black with black rims

although I have to say you should get the Audi S4 it has the look of both the Evo and the Impreza. It looks a lot nicer than both

I say buy a honda or toyota. I drive a nissan altima 06, but I much more like the Toyota Camry 07/08. I drove a lancer evo 9 and the evo 10, both of which are sweet cars but just arent worth the extra cash in todays world and gas prices. Buy smart, dont buy a car just to look cool, because you wont look cool 1 year down the road with gas going 10$ a gallon for the unleaded.

I have an Audi TT and a 2007 Subaru WRX limited. Both GREAT cars, but I prefer the Subaru because of more space.

I would go for the Audi, German precision, and still good gas millage. (In Europe the average gas price is $9.- a gallon, but Germans still want to go fast on the autobahns.) Not saying the other 2 choices are no good, but I speak out of experience as far German cars goes.

Now, if you were serious about sports cars.. If you're willing to drop 20k+ into a car, why not go for a 1994+ Toyota Supra? Not many people have them, and those that do are envied.. :D

EVOs and WRXs are so cliche. Everyone who wants an affordable, quick car buys one.

The S4, on the other hand, is much less common to see on the road, and is a bad-expletive ride. I'd go with the S4.

Upkeep on any of the cars is gonna be ridiculous though, just keep that in mind. If' your job is bringing in enough cash to afford one of these cars, you're probably alright. But if this is a "gift from mom and dad" kind of thing, you may want to keep that in mind. Parts for foreign cars tend to be pretty expensive.

im buying this car with my own money, but im going to be broke after lol, cuz i dont have a job and the rest of the money i wil have left after i buy the car will go to all the parts im getting for it. the car costs about 15k and its another 10k for the parts
