Hey all, so Best Buy has the Corsair HS45, the HyperX Cloud Stinger & a Roccat each for $40. I would like some feedback about these headsets if you can spare some time please. I have previously posted about this topic & someone did talk about a previous version of the Corsair, so its definitely on my radar. Please bare in mind that I am also a college student, so I have to keep the expensive at this level. To be fair, I haven't look at Newegg yet, but will do that. Just want to get this idea rolling.

Everyone talks about how great HyperX is; I've had nothing but issues with it for some games. Any Origin games really. Outside of it, solo gameplay sounds fine. Discord/Teamspeak comes in nice and clear. Webcam and video calls I'm good. But HyperX and Origin games I've had nothing but issues with it

On paper, the HyperX should be much better than the Corsair. I got the HyperX Cloud Alpha, so hopefully the Stinger won't have the same issues as I have. I'm guessing you meant the Roccat Elo X based on your pricing., I personally don't use Roccat products as a brand, however, reviews I've read and seen about their products of late have shown the brand as being reliable and of good quality.

Assuming my issues with HyperX is just unique to Origin, or just unlucky product for me, I would go with the Stinger if it checks off a lot of the things you want. Noise suppression microphone, detachable microphone, and the longest cable among all three choices in addition to great audio quality, the Stringer is easily sitting at the top in both features and performance.

Cody Cody Budget doesn't matter when it's clear he's looking at around $50 or less based off the products listed.

I bought a HyperX headset off Amazon and within one week, my detachable microphone port itself malfunctioned, not the detachable microphone, which caused me to spend an additional $30 on an external microphone. I guess I could've sent it back to Amazon but I didn't.

The headset was a HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless.. So, I probably won't be getting any future HyperX headsets for a while. In my entirely biased opinion, I would get a Corsair headset.

My question is should I go with the Corsair HS60 or just go with the HyperX? Btw their website decided to change a few things up, so the Roccat is off the radar, but Razer Kraken, is now in the $40 price range.
