Hi, I think players should be able to private message others. In order to avoid abuse, perhaps this command could be limited to DS?
Alternatively, perhaps it should be visible to admins, though that would put into question how direct it is.

/dm [player] [message]
/msg [player] [message]
/r [message] - Would send the message to the player you last DM'd

I don't see how this is beneficial. There's plenty of external chat programs, steam friends, discord, battle.net, skype, slack, good old fashion texting. There's no real purpose to adding a DM command in our games.

I agree with Nick, there's plenty of other things to use for private messages. Seems like a pointless thing to add in the servers.

Yeah, I don't see how this would be better than a third party system.

I do think this is a good idea for DS, as DS for some servers has limited perks. But in all practicality, as Nick mentioned, there are more than ten things I can think of that does the same thing.

People would try to use it even more as a mini admin tool and/or use it to ghost. I used to want this too, but I do not think it's a good idea.

Would involve a lot of private chatter for ds to non ds people, steam chat is fine as it is.

Im going to have to say no, especially if admins can we what people dm each other, it would just end up causing chaos especially on servers like ttt where admin chat is constantly being blown up

this could highly encourage ghosting, for jb as a example take it that the warden typed which marker lives in 1 marker lives in ct chat. he could just /message name yo its blue. it also seems if admins didn't have access it could be a problem, even further if admins had access there chat logs would be flooding with seeing other peoples messages to each other.
