I know we just brought in Correctional Officers in the city and you guys are tryna get stuff functioning but I have a really good idea. I'm planning on making one of my characters get life in prison and thought it would be cool if I could still RP while in prison. Like rp'ing being a prisoner and having more COs and criminals in the prison and having gangs in prison and starting fights in prison. I haven't really thought much about it but making it like IRL prison would be so much better. Getting shanks and contraband in the prison and corrupted COs and stuff. This needs more thinking and development but I think something like this would open a new gate to RP and make getting life in jail not that bad.

I think this would be cool however, on the corrupt CO's part I highly disagree and it would go against the same rule that police are held to (leo forums) https://www.edgegamers.com/threads/349434/

if we got a few more people in the D.O.C it would be a lot of fun. already as the only DOC member (who isn't the sasp) its been a load of new and fun roleplay.

While I don't think you should make a character just to get life in prison I think maybe jail times should be increased, due to the roleplay that can and will happen inside the prison, however, atm this is only based on if I'm specifically online or not due to being the only active member.

I second what Duck said. I don't think CO's should be allowed to be corrupt just like Cops aren't. Loose tongue is one thing but full corruption, too much can go wrong and be abused.

I like this idea. I always hated our jail system of serving time in a box. Even with the new jail layout, you're just in a bigger box without anything to actually do. Would be dope if there was some roleplay game mechanics there to work with.

Jail RP actually does sound like a fantastic idea. Sorry for bumping this so late.

Even if it is just RP in Prison and it's not a gang thing where there are fights.. it'll give people something to do on their extended visits and keep the roleplay alive.

There are many rules and regulations put into place to navigate the roleplay in a proper direction, to also possibly negate/avoid any issues that may arise. Like the post here. In this post, you can see that the policy on "Corrupt Cops" was established to prevent "the civilian's interaction and experience to be severely compromised by a corrupt Law Enforcement Officer. Overall, it will create a negative experience and the Leadership team wants to ensure the server continues to be as professional and welcoming as possible."

Legend worded this perfectly. This was implemented to ensure the server stays as professional and welcoming as possible, due to this reasoning we are going to be keeping this ruling in place with the implementation of the DOC.
