If not, go here: http://www.spreadfirefox.com/en-US/worldrecord/ Apparently, this world record event ends tomorrow around noon pacific (since mozilla is originally based in california). So by all means, download the software (even if you already have it)!

I just can not believe their servers did not crash from all those downloads.

No i'll stick with Internet Explorer.... i hate firefox

[ManBearPig]

How many Downloads do they need to get the record?

Theres no current record...they are just aiming high so it cant be beat in the future

[Selmuir]

2 people in the whole of chad have firefox

[Mozilla]

Nicely done everyone! I don't think internet explorer will beat that one anytime soon, BTW about 20% of internet users are using firefox now. Keep up the good work spreading the word.

I know a little bit about coding XHTML and IE was killing me. It couldnt read the code properly. It was why so many pages I went to on the net were screwed up. But Firefox = win.

firefox > IE

With more than 15,000 improvements, Firefox 3 is faster, safer and smarter than before. quoted from the site. the old one beat IE and this one is even better

I just can not believe their servers did not crash from all those downloads.

It actually did melt something in their servers just before download time when they first got hammered.

[MiseryX -TR-]

thats why they brought, if i remember correctly, 17 terrabites of upload.... i doubt ill even use that much in my lifespan...

[The Henchman {RD}]

I tried installing addons on 3.0 and Firefox Crashes often for me and will not start back up. So I'm stuck with 2.0

I participated in the Download Day because I support what Firefox and Mozilla are attempting. I personally prefer Opera because of Speed Dial, Mouse Gestures, and really easy navigation, but if I am trying to load a performance-heavy page, Firefox works.

From what I can tell, the Western Sahara and some place called Svalbard are the only places without a download. Iran had 200k o.o
