I beat MGS4 I know how it ends. I'm just honoring the last game with good old Solid Snake

Also I think this guy is in Super Smash Bros Brawl for Wii, there is a guy named Snake in it. I'm not sure if it is him, but they look almost exactly alike.

Can't believe you have never heard of Metal Gear Solid!? You should be ashamed, your parents raised you wrong.(<--*well not really*) yes he is Snake in SSBB thats the younger version.

Without giving away to much to those who have the game and may of not have beat it yet. He does not die at the end of the game although he will in time and that's why we will not see another Metal Gear Solid game with Snake in it. All I can say is if you have Metal Gear Solid 4 beat the game watch the ending and watch the credits to its full and you'll understand. I'm sure there are youtube videos of all the endings... if you want to see it if you don't have the game or have the ability to buy it.
