I think the Minecraft part of the community could benefit from having a community modpack server for EGO. What I mean by this is that you are able to make modpacks on the curse forge app and can push updates directly to people's modpacks to match the servers so you don't have to worry about complicated installations and updates. The Modpack will start with a base of mods that'll add a lot of new features and content like new world gen, new dimensions, items, blocks, mobs, performance boosts, quality of life, etc Then we take the top 3-5 suggested mods for the month and make a vote for one to be added to the modpack. This way people can feel involved in the content being added along with looking forward to the end of each month for the vote. The server will be 1.16.5 or could wait till 1.17 comes out and see what mods come out then.

Another reason the modpack will be nice is that this will give players a lot more to do and to work with being items, blocks to build with, economy, events, and more.

For what mods should be added at the first I think we should stick with nothing too complicated and shouldn't ever add stuff that's OP like draconic evolution, Project E and etc.

Goals / Benefits of the Community Modpack:
Good Client-Side Performance
Good Server-Side Performance
Community driven content so people feel involved
New Content every Month to keep players coming
Tons and tons of new blocks and tools for people who like to build
New Progression so people don't get bored with just economy

Hey Kamron Kamron ! Thanks for the very detailed response here, and sorry for the delay. Things got very busy very fast, but I'm slowly catching up.

There's a lot to talk about when the discussion of a modpack is brought up. While it's true modpacks are insanely fun (I played on a Technic pack for probably close to 2 years a while back), based on EGO MC's history with them, they haven't really served to bring in any new players, nor really attract many players from within EGO. We've run several FTB servers in the past, and they've always been our least populated servers to date, and those were with pretty well-known modpacks. Using our own would push out players even more.

Even besides the history of modpacks in EGO MC unfortunately falling flat, and ignoring the interest in other mods like Pixelmon in the community (yeah, yeah, we hear you), currently, this isn't a project our team is able to undertake at this time. Even while modpacks have failed, we keep them in our hearts, and always consider them for a server slot, but at the moment, we're working on an entirely new project (more news on that soon ™️), looking at possibly getting a 1.17 server going into the future, and maybe even returning to an Events Server if we're lucky.

tl;dr: Modpacks don't have a great history in EGO, and even if they did, our team's got its hands full with several other projects right now. We'll happily consider developing our own modpack in the future if the server does well and shows general interest, but that may not be for a while.

With all that said, is there anything you wanted to add to that?
