SLI help

Ok so in my current pc for video card I have an 8800 GTS 640MB MSI OC'd, and I am interested in getting SLI in August. I dont really know much about SLI and I am wondering if it is possible to SLI an Nvidia 8000 series card with a 9000 series card, or if its better to have 2 of the same card. Do I have much flexibility? And if anyone could make a suggestion of a card I should get please share. Thanks, and if you need system specs I shall post them just ask.

yeah thats what I thought. I bet you get more bang for the buck when you have the same cards. Now im wondering if I should just sell my old card and buy a BFG 9800 GX2. what do you guys think? long shot, but do any of you have this card or know how well it runs?

right now the GX2 is the best card for you money, although it is fairly expensive, it is the best for the money

Buy the same card, you can probably find thoes cheaper now a days anyway.
