Possible router issue

Hey all, so recently I had a massive t-storm which caused some issues. I ended up taking my original modem to the ISP & they replaced it with another modem. After more research, I thought my ethernet port was bad, but then I put another cable in and now im back online after 2 days. However, I cant seem to connect with 2 different routers (one is an AC1500 & another is an N300, which is a huge difference in terms of data transfer). Here's the big issue is that I live in a 2 story house and the modem is upstairs connected with a router & then I run a 75' cable to my room as I haven't been able to figure out another way to get solid service while being able to play games. Should I just buy an extra ethernet cable to make sure that's not the issue?

I am trying to decipher this post:

• Thunder storm caused an issue and you lost internet. I assume you had a power surge of some sort?
• Took modem to ISP, ISP replaced modem, but still no internet.
• Researched and replaced it with another CAT cable, able to get back online. Turns out, your prior CAT cable was faulty.

You are saying you can not connect with 2 different routers wirelessly, I assume, so you run a direct connection with a 75 foot cable.. from the router you're unable to connect wirelessly to? And this resolves your issue in getting online? Being hardwired?

this is a word salad tbh, tongue twisting words and what not. In what world you'd think is possible to use 2 diff internet sources at the same time? one is the access point ( your source of internet ) and the other is the receiver.
