hey i was wonderin, what parts do u all sugest for building a computer. I dont kno much, but i was hoping to build one. Please post anything u think i should get for it. Processor, case, motherboard, hardrive, memory, graphics, ect ect. with enough suggestions. mom might let me build one. thanks and plz dont trick me into buying a bad proceser or somethin lol. thanks for all the help.

i would suggest windows vista, 300 gb hard drive, nvidia video drivers, creative audio, dvd-rw drive. go online to dell.com. they have great computers/

I would say to get an idea of what's good, take a look at some of the comp companies and check out the stats on their "gaming pcs" and that will give you a base idea what to kinda look for.


Most of the time you can build an identical comp for less, or change some options yourself which aren't allowed by the manufacturer and make one cheaper and better suited for what you do.


Also you need to ask yourself a few things:

What do you want to do on this computer?

How long do you plan on keeping it?



... I think those 2 questions should pretty well cover the overall basics of your needs...

which I always say everyone should build their comps based on their needs rather then what everyone else is getting or what EVERYONE ELSE thinks is the best...

Arn0t is right...it's hard to suggest much without a price point. Let us know your budget and we can give you a lot better information

I recently built my first ever PC, and I can tell you that you must know your budget, and what OS are you planning to install.

Second, do a search run for the parts. I recommend you to visit every store that has a web page. Newegg is great, but you never know when another store has a better offer.
