Tell me about the lowest point in your life

When I was 6 years old I was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy , I was too young to understand what that meant and my parents took the route of leading me towards positive things...kind of keeping me in the dark.
When I was 13 I started to get weak from standing and I falling a lot. It was when I got my first electric wheelchair that the truth hit me in the face. I was told I would probably not see graduation, I wouldn't have a family or my own, and I would never be able to live my dream of going to France and working at a coffee shop...and one day owning one. I had stopped eating at this point and I had no motivation to do anything. I had hoped to go to MDA camp that year (which was a huge support system for me) but covid happened so it was canceled. It wasn't till the end of the year when I got a group text from a couple of camp-mates and an old friend I hadn't talk to for a couple of years...Tea. They gave me words of wisdom, sites for research, chatrooms, and introduced me to other girls like me. They really did wonders and saved me from the dark pit I was in, but Tea really carried the mission. She'd come over every week to force me out of the house to get some fresh air. She would share an a daily inspirational message, send recipes, and send cute pictures of her dog. She would often remind me that her and I have the same type of MD and she's been through what I am going through now and she'd always be available to answer questions and support me.
My mom also was a huge help by encouraging me to fight. That when the disease gets stronger...we have to fight harder. I intend to fight, with my family and friends supporting me it feels like my future will be a strong one.:)
by the way...
Daily inspiration message for today is
'Instead of worrying and wondering how things will turn out, I want to get better at focusing on what's worth celebrating during each part of the journey.'

Today's self love action:
'Today I'll pick one part of my life that is in progress and let myself celebrate how far I have come, how much I have learned, or how well things are going right now.'

I'm generally not too open about my struggles in a public setting such as a forum post like this but I love this idea of people sharing their hardships.

I just want to open up a door to anyone who might need someone to talk to that is unbiased and doesn't know their story. I find that talking to strangers is sometimes a lot easier to vent to because they don't know who you are and you don't know them.

Feel free to add me/message on Discord if anyone needs someone to vent to, talk to or are seeking advice. I'll never turn away someone in need and I'll find a way to make time for you.
