ok well my bro deleted HL2....i still made it but i dont want to wait for it to download so i'll give it to you.


its the first versions so its not goig to be perfect. send me some screen shots and i'll fix it.

PS once i get the final project, i will maek it for all the episodes

I put it in every sub-folder in the hl2 folder I couldn't get it to work. I don't have to restart STEAM or something do I? Also does it matter if the zip folder is in a seperate location. The TF2 skins were a bit easier to put in :S

Guys, ya know what I figured out? when getting HL2 skins i wanted them for ALL of the Half life games (HL2 ep 1, HL2DM, HL2 ep 2) so I just put the same files in the same places and the same things were skinned, you don't need to do ANY converting at all

I give up. I put in the models folder, I put it in the materials folder, I put in the models folder that was inside the materials folder, and I can't get it to show in game. I looked for a Alyx folder but couldn't find one. I went to the sdk folder there was one called models then humans but it just had males in it. I even Googled "Using Alyx Re-skin", but that just got me a bunch of sad little idiots drooling over nude skins.

EDIT: I found a Alyx folder but it is under expressions this dosen't seem like a logical place for skins but is that it? (Can't launch HL2 right now to check.)

Looks pretty good so far. Only comments I have is on the front I like the Gear emblem and the Speed and Power,but it may need a little resizing. Also, not sure if it is beacuse of my settings, it looks like it is made of rubber kind of shines funny. Good work as always Pedro.

Pretty much the whole time. It looked like it was a rubber suit or something. Could it be beacuse I have some of my graphics settings on medium and low? It is more of a reflection than a shine maybe.

You can kind of see it in the screenshots I posted. The one below is a better look at it.

i have been trying to fix this problem...but irealy dont see why its doing that..you need to try two things..... put your graphics to the max and if that doesn t work file someone who has HL2 and send them the file and se if it works

Hey i was originally going to ask you to make me a skin. But i figured i've always liked to try stuff, so im giving skinning a shot. I know a little about photoshop and all that. I have a question though, where are the player models. tf2materials.gcf right?
