Currently, from what I have been told, if you sell your own vehicle back to the dealership, you will receive 50% of the cash back from the vehicle's buyout price. My suggestion is that this is raised to 75%.

I think that this change should be made because with the current system absolutely nobody is going to want to sell their cars back to the dealer, and it also makes the player feel like they have wasted a lot of time and resources to pay off this car, just to receive half of that back when they want a change of scenery. Obviously this would be less realistic as IRL "as soon as a car drives out of the dealership it halves in value" however mine and a few other players opinions, changing the selling amount to 75% would be beneficial to the server and its players

I actually really like the idea of it being 50%. It encourages players to actually test drive the car before they purchase it.
Instead of just buying the car and then selling it because they don't like the speed or whatever.

I agree with this, however - if I have (for example) put 10 hours into buying a sultan, grinding money in whichever way I chose, I can only make 5 of those 10 hours back by selling the car via the dealership.

I like this idea but id only want the increase to 75% or whatever it may be until we are able to sell cars to other players, then I'd say drop it back down to 50%.

So, one thing I absolutely hated about the old server was people who thought a car appreciated in value. When you drive a car off the lot IRL - it automatically depreciates roughly 20-30%, automatically. After 4 years, industry standard states the vehicle will retain roughly 52% of it's value.

So, that being said - I think it's acceptable to get back 70% of what you paid if you were turn around the next week and sell the car back HOWEVER, if you crash the vehicle AT ALL (which everyone does) - then it automatically depreciates even more significantly...

Although, we aren't a REALISTIC server, the economy will serve better to promote player interaction on sales and selling back to a dealership at 50% means you can sell to a player for a bit more. A car should never be worth more than what you paid for it at the dealership though - that old server way of thinking was extremely irritating.

Real life isn't something you want to emulate when it doesn't serve a purpose. Prices in a video game should have nothing to do with realism and everything to do with the supply and demand as it relates to the player economy. I encourage all of you to explore opportunities for players to sell cars to each other in GTAV ASAP.
