Thanks for the reply. I was just wondering what the ban was for? I am an active member of dust2 community and super familiar with the player base. I didn't know people getting banned on the server was a secret. I pointed him to the ban appeal section already ( before I made the post).
I didn't come and ask for an appeal on his behalf so not sure where that came from. Love the politics within the EGO community though very entertaining at times.
On a side note the server has been running much better in the last few months in my personal opinion which is great. Who is to thank for that?

We don’t disclose what the ban was for publicly. It’s between them and leadership at this point. If someone were on at the time and saw the ban message reason, that would be about the only publicly visible info on it you’d find.
Not so much secretive or anything, just more to do with keeping drama and external opinions out of it. The only people who can see the reason and story behind the ban once it happens are the banning admin and leadership; other admins aren’t privy to it.
My apologies for the line about contesting the ban themselves - we often get people on here trying to fight others battles for them.
Happy to hear Dust2 is running well though. Seeing old servers still thriving makes me happy
