Hello, this is my first tutorial. The image I used for this is http://planetrenders.net/renders/displayimage.php?pos=-2466
here are the brushes I used

to install these goto C:>Program Files>Adobe>Adobe Photoshop cs2 (or cs3)>Presets>Brushes and then drag and drop the .abr files into there.
Now ! onto the tutorial.
1. Make new image 500x150 color the background white
2. Open your render and place it in your signature, resize it by hitting ctrl+t and dragging the corners together. And hit ctrl+j 4-5 times, then hide those extra layers by hitting the eye icon next to the layer, until you have only one copy of the render.
3. Take out your smudge tool, located under the eraser tool (may have top right click the blur tool or w/e) And smudge horizontally on the signature like so. (ignore this if the smudging you did is spattery enough) And then goto Filter>brushstrokes>spatter and click ok, if you get any white spots on the edges just smudge them out. *notes* you may want to try different brushes, if one doesn't work simply delete that layer and unhide the next one and try another brush.
4. Unhide another render layer and take out a new smudge brush and make sure 'sample all layers' isn't checked at the top middle and start to smudge a bit on the edge, make sure note to over smudge, you want to still be able to tell that there is something behind your smudging, if your new it might take you a while but don't worry, you'll get it.
Here are the main points that I smudged, notice that all of the parts that are smudged seem farther back than the rest.
5. *optional* Your almost done ! now time to add some effects to spice up the picture a bit. At the bottom of the layers pallet click the half circle looking thing, and click curves, now a window will pop up, go near the top of it and change the coloring mode to red and play with the corners a bit, and drag them out, if you drag the top right one to the left and the bottom left one to the right, it makes a nice effect, go uptop and change the mode to green and do the same as I stated before, and then change to blue and do the same until you have something that looks good to your eye. here is what I got. then click the half circle thingy again and goto photofilters and play around with different settings to get an effect that you like and don't be afraid to use more than one of them. Here is what I got.
6. After all that mess you're probably sweating, well you're almost done, it's time to add some text, you don't need anything fancy, just 'arial' will do. I didn't do anything fancy as you can see.
Here is the final result, they have different photo filters on them.
if I get enough requests I'll make another tutorial.
