Not Planned [Forums] Option to choose where main URL lands

This mainly is a small QoL thing. Currently when you navigate to edgegamers.com, it by default takes you to the breaking news area, acting as a home page. This is nice and handy, but for regular users some night find it useful to go to a different page like the entire forum list by default.

My suggestion is as follows:
Add a drop down option that allows users to choose where they are redirected to, given a few provided options. Default being the breaking news, Main Forums being the forums page, and maybe one or two select sub forums.

I love the work that goes into the breaking news, but when i go to the site or click the logo to navigate home, I'd much rather it take me to the forums board so I can continue navigation, no extra presses required.

Thus could be done with a plugin or JS addition to fetch the user preference and redirect accordingly to different pages. This is not essential or of any priority, but maybe a cool thing for someone to do on a bored afternoon. Thiis is ultimately insignificant, but it would be nice for power users.

Yeah, you could. But this for a power user is a better solution. I could also just redirect locally the URL to a different URL, but first party is better than third. This is something that goes at the bottom of the pile and isn't meant for more than power users.
