RDMRDMRDM! We all hate the start of the round mic spam. Immediately after that, 1984 happens. But that doesn't really solve the issue, players are humans and have emotions, have something to say. My proposal: Unmute all players voice chats a bit earlier - right after the winning kill COD style (post-round), when either innos or ts are declared winners. People unintentionally become mic spammers because they all have something to say about the previous round (rdm, missed shot, bad play), unfortunately it just so happens that mics are unmuted at the start of the round, and so they all say it at the same time. My proposal gives a chance for them to speak out earlier and because they have more time, mic spam will spread out, thus not being an issue.

With this, people will learn that they can complain earlier. This would give the players an opportunity to mic spam before new round making the same problem exist in the same round.

Force disable VOiP for all players. Problem solved.

For real now, I don't see this as solving the problem.
Maybe in pretonic, only DS, admins+ can talk? Making it a lot less likely that spam can occur. Combine this with say some new administrative tools to help easily identify who uses their mic and when, we can move forward and deal with people who are micspamming more easily.

But players don’t always use mic just to complain though, as mentioned above, a lot of the times they just have a comment on the previous round, or player, which combined with other players doing the same thing might result in a mic spam from an outsider POV.
I agree this won’t help with players who specifically want to mic spam.

From my experience, force disabling voip results in immediate mic spam right after everyone gets unmuted.
My hope is that if given more time to talk, less players will be speaking at the same time, which is often what is considered mic spam. Rarely a single person mic spams and doesn’t get insta muted.

I feel like we should try to get the mic icon over heads from players that way we can see if someones holding their mic for long and much easier to recognise who it is mic-spamming.

This is being fixed in next update from what I know. But this doesn't solve the problem. Trust me it really doesn't help much. We need more robust tools for dealing with micspam
