The rule on the utilization of recordings in character has been adjusted to include a new exemption for law enforcement:
- Streams can only be used out of character. The only footage that can be used in character is anything that was recording while visibly displaying an animation with a camera. (/phoneR, /cam, /e phone, /e filmshock, /e camera)
- Law Enforcement is allowed an exemption to this rule - officers are allowed to use video footage as body camera footage as long as the officer has the body camera prop on their uniform. Video footage from a dash camera may also be used as long as the vehicle has a dash camera prop in it. The DOJ will vet body camera footage on its usability in court (angles of the footage of what would actually be seen by a front-facing camera, etc.). Civilians may also remove officer body cameras through appropriate roleplay but should not abuse doing so.
