I forgot to ask you... What part of Michigan are you from? Deets and I just moved from metro Detroit down to rural Virginia. But I still have family up in Roseville, Hazel Park, and then more up in Cheboygan.

I'm up in Bay City (about an hour and a half north of Detroit). I get to deal with the smelly river AND the bay, fun fun. I usually spend weekends up in Pinconning for the bonfires and lack of general police. 2 whole officers, one always behind a desk, the other never comes out to where I party.
As for family, they're all in and around Bay City, except my grandpa in Kawkawlin.

Absolutely there are benefits. I am fiercely protective over anyone in this clan in our servers. I even put my AIM name up so anyone can add me for help.
This is a wonderful group to game with. I've been in very strict clans before that I lost interest in quickly. There is such an eclectic atmosphere in eGO that is rich with talent on many levels. What some of these individuals bring to the table is nothing short of Euphoria for me.
I've never heard of a specific eGO level only event. Most events are house events held in a house specific server. This is where being in a house can become more fun if you enjoy interaction. You get to know each other and it brings individuals together.
I had no initial impression of eGO. I keep my mind open to all possibilities. Everyone admins differently so you can't base a judgment on a specific event in game with a specific admin.
My interest in eGO was such that I gamed with the same people on ava day after day. So honestly the choice was easy.
There will always be aspects of gaming in general that I could do without. I just remind myself that I'm here to escape reality and keep it from becoming a dichotomy. My best advice is none at all. We must each choose to make our own path in life. That being said, feel out what is right for you.

I really like this quote. It applies to TF2 and RL. Its true, no one decides what you do in the game or in RL.

Don't worry about rank, just have fun and be respectfull and active and you'll make great friends and be part of a great community. The promotions are just an afterthought

Yes. Yes yes yes. I play Heavy most of the time and medics generally run to aid other eGO members. Well, yeah, thats on thing I've noticed, lol.
Humor aside, its fun being a regular somewhere, and I always play on ego servers in DoD and TF2 and figured why not join. You guys are a decent group of people from what I've gathered, and you actually use voice chat and shift strategy on the go.
? A good group to game with?
Yes. Interestingly enough if you look at the overall clan stats on HL its almost dead even at 1 Kpd. Through the sheer size of ego you can quickly draw that there is a wide array of people that are skilled at many different things and have different play styles. People that bum rush a lot in DoD generally die a lot more, while people glued to sniper generally have insane KPD.
Thats not to say you should judge people on their stats, I just thought that was pretty interesting. Always fun to play with e members because the games are generally pretty dynamic. Large capacity for teamwork.
? Events that are eGO only?
Haven't been to one yet, just joined.
? Your first impression of eGO?
I was impressed with them before I asked to join. I personally can't stand most clans in any game, but after playing with such a wide array of people on two different games I can say that ego generally gets the job done without being immature or whiney in games. Had a blast with a lot of you over voice chat on Turbine.
? Why you were interested in joining eGO?
See above, you guys worked well as a team and I LOVE your server rules. I curse all the time in real life and I still prefer a rule against it on servers. Its easier for someone to not curse and be disrespectful and have a pleasant time than it is for someone to be forced to hear it out of "freedom of speech"(which online is a sham anyways. People are just OVER THE TOP rude online).
? Things you could go without?
Uh, not really. You guys provide solid servers with great latency that are always full... I mean... thats pretty much all you could ask for, right?

When I was an =(e)=? I felt great. I felt that I had joined a group/community in which I had a rank in which I was held higher then the average pubber. I did not feel alone when playing on my Steam Games, and I had a nice fun enviorment to enjoy myself in. I still feel this way today, and I love being part of this clan, =(e)=? or not.

I made tons of new friends, and did a lot more interesting, unique, and fun things with them on the servers. When in vent, my friends and I hung out and talked, not only about the game but about whatever came to our minds. This is still true for me today.

I attended fun and crazy events, consisting of your average scrims, to your punch fests, road trips, knife wars, rocket brawls, and all other type of fun things you can come up with. eGO events have a wide range, and are not just limited to average play.
? Your first impression of eGO?
My first impression of eGO was a clan that was filled with nice and kind people. Who did not care how good you were in game, they just cared if you were nice on their servers. They ran their servers in ways that I appreciated as a gamer. I spent 2 years on the eGO servers before I finally joined the clan. The first time I played on the eGO server's and left, I had a strange feeling come to mind. When I had disconnected and was sitting at my computer, " I thought to myself that, "I had just had one of the most fun and flat out not stressful games of my life." Normally I would leave a server thinking, "that guy shooting at our spawn with an MG was a *Blank*or that guy with the really really really racist name, kinda bothered me." When I left the eGO server, I thought it was odd that I felt so good about the game. That is why the next day I searched through my servers list until I found the eGO server I had played on and added it to my faviorets.

I had played for so long on the servers that I said to myself, "you know, I have played with these guys for so long... maybe it is time for me to help them out a little and help keep their great servers running."

I agree, I feel that everyone e, eG, eGO should be allowed to enforce the server rules, to a certain extent. When I was an =(e)=? I was not yelled at or given "back talk" from higher ranking members if I corrected someone's language or attitude. Although I did not correct someone's language or attitude a lot, when I did, there was no "back talk" or negativity from other members who were higher ranking. I feel admin's should encourage =(e)=?'s to help with the monitoring the server to an extent. You see, you may not know this... but many =(e)=?'s out there instead of correcting someone or asking someone kindly to not use foul language or racist remarks, will instead engage the wrong doer(s) in a confrontation. This normally ends with an admin having to ban the =(e)=? or the wrong doer who had been instigated by the =(e)=? to fight with him. This is why =(e)=? members are shunned so horribly when they try to correct people or enforce rules on the servers.
