June 23, 2008 - Team Fortress 2 Update Released

Updates to Team Fortress 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

Team Fortress 2


Reduced Medic's unlockable requirements to match that of the Pyro's. Medic players now meeting the requirements will receive their unlockables shortly after joining a server

Fixed Spy sapper viewmodel animation popping

Fixed another issue with the Hot on your Heels achievement

Incorporated the new Russian fonts into the base Team Fortress 2 fonts. Fixes the missing fonts problem when running in Russian with English VO

Well it makes us who had the Ubersaw before this update much more prowd of it. We spent more effort into getting it. FYI: I did not farm.

While I congratulate all you guys who managed to get the achievement before the update, I have to admit I'm very glad they went back and lowered the requirements. I have honestly given up on getting all of the achievements, and I think this move goes a long way towards keeping the weapons still an accomplishment without turning it into a chore.

Lol, I'm sorry woodie, but if you got the uber saw by getting ALL the achievements before this new patch, then you farmed in one way or another. A heavy punching instead of minigunning? Placebo effect? I mean I know it stinks to say it, but point blank...you had to, we all did.

Ubersaw!!!! Made me such a happy camper that i didnt have to get the last 3 pesky achievements to get it. Including the horror that is First do not harm.

A heavy punching instead of minigunning? Placebo effect?

Jehuty took care of the heavy punching on day one. It was one of the first ones I got. Placebo, lots of needle spam. I will say that I did not get them all on eGO servers. Played small maps.

Oh yeah, Big Farma - Goldrush stage 2 cp 2, pushed them all the way back and spawn camped.

But still, I was good that Valve fixed that.

Ps. First to do no Harm is not that hard.

I have all but four of the medic achievements...

1, First Do No harm
2. Preventitive medicine
3. Dr assisted homicide (working on this one and almost there)
4. Medical intervention... this is a pain...
