Dude lol, just get 2 4870's in CrossfireX no matter if you go Intel/AMD.

That was my original plan, but after watching a review on the 4850 they run cooler, cheaper, and is a single slot card. 1 4850 got 30 - 40 frames in Crysis, beating the 9800GTX, the 3870, the 3870x2 and even beating the infamous 8800 Ultra (Which was on top for some months). 2 4850s will be close to the GTX 260-280s. 2 4850s as I see it will be awesome. And if I get my AMD Spider system, 4 4850s would just melt your face off.

ONE 4850 is on par, or beats a 260. A 4870 beats a 280...god knows what the new 4870x2s will do.

If that's too expensive go for the 2nd best cooler on the market, the Xigmatek S1283
