Deathcrate is a well known jailbreak map game where terrorists are placed in a usually circular pit and are forced to dodge a spinning cube that will instantly kill them if it touches them. It is defined as skill-based as it is allowed to be played first in a round, but is it really skill-based?

Both.

The crate is luck based as it is spinning in very high speeds, you just need the skill to maneuver around that box with your pro skill which you acquired from play years of CS but still can't hit one taps with deagle's because of how trash you are.

You could say it is 100% skill based if you looked at the crate and calculated which way it would go with the spin it has, the gravity in which amount it has, the time it'll hit the ground and the waffles per second which are getting cooked to a crisp.

Be a Pro not a Noob.

There are many known techniques for it and any skilled and well oriented player will know how the physics will work, hence why there is always a group of ~7 people doing the exact same movements.

Analysing the features of death crate from others is an easy way to learn, plus its easy to learn death crate on your own. Not only this but as I mentioned earlier, death-crate almost always follows the exact same physics on every map, and should be easy to understand what its doing.

A luck based game in regards to how JB defines them is a game that is 100% luck based. In essence, this means there is no effective player input that can change their odds of winning.

Games like 1 marker lives and Russian roulette are 100% luck based; there is no additional player input that can affect the result of the game.

Games like deathcrate, spleef, or hammer game may have a certain element of luck, however, they are certainly not 100% luck based.

Soccer is not a luck based game just because the ball can be unpredictable. Colors is not a luck based game just because it shows random colors. Death crate is not a luck based game just because it bounces around randomly.

You cannot accurately 100% predict the deatchcrates movements. You just can't. It's quite literally all a prediction and in the split second of a moment it can whip around and knock you out. Not even close to skill based.

i mean every once in a while you get heat seeked but most of the time you can just stay on the other side of the pit from the crate and live, it’s like 10% luck

it is not luck based as you can actually do something to stop it from hitting you, if u could not do anything to prevent it from hitting u then it would be

It’s not that hard just look at a wall and don’t move the alpha energy will prevent your death 100% skill
