yeah i just bought 4 cold cathodes for my case, but it isnt acryllic like yours, so yours will be super bright

I wear my sunngggllassesss at night!

um. If you want you can always buy a smaller sata drive and use that as your gaming/main drive and the use the IDE drive for data stuff (music/videos/data crap ect)

yeah look at western digital's drives... greatest price to space ratio IMO

Try the Samsung 753LJ 750GB Sata. I use it for gaming and data, and it has a 32MB cache.
Excellent choice of memory and CPU. The CPU, if you didn't know, has an unlocked multiplier.
This means you can overclock by changing a single setting in BIOS without messing around with FSB, memory, or anything else. It took me 15 seconds to get a 3.2GHz overclock.
You save $50 by doing that instead of buying a really expensive 6400 Black Edition, which does not have an unlocked multiplier, only a cool looking box that says Collector's Edition.

I personally own that memory, motherboard, and CPU and they work great together. I would recommend the 9600's from Nvidia. With 4gb of ram, 3.2ghz cpu, and a Palit 9600, I got 10298 3dmarks. On vista. And the overclocking took 15s. That motherboard is good for SLI.

However, Native Command Queing is not supported by the motherboard. It took me a very long time to discover this. My performance has not been adversely impacted, but all you have to do is turn off NCQ in BIOS and vista

good god mralgebra ty for all the information! didnt even know that!!! ty all for the replys all great comments and ideas!! again ty. as 7g. was saying i get to put my system together now the parts just arrived!! woot i will be sure to post before and after pics of preformace and pure awesomeness! stay tooned for updates on the new rig!

Ok. PM me if you want any help with overclocking. Try 3dmark and tell me what you get.
I'd like to see whether that 8600 is better than my Palit. My computer's parts cost $715 due to skilled newegg shopping by yours truly.

Also, use the HL2 stress test/benchmark.
Vista Business is cheaper than ultimate, and has the same gaming performance. If you are just going to be gaming on it, you should get the Business version.
Ultimate comes with Active Desktop and the Media Center.

True but Home Premium comes with media center too. Its only worth it if you have a 360. If you don't def business edition. Good Luck with the build.
