I'm going to say something very unpopular to some, but I believe necessary. In the last few months the bank truck robbery, from both scripts, has caused nothing but problems, contentions, and due to the continued toxicity it has created, promotes what I believe is not in line with the policy of Edgegamers (No punk gaming). I recommend the removal of the Bank Truck Robbery scenario all together to alleviate this concern. There are many other mechanics in the game (both currently and those soon to come) that provide avenues for criminals and cops to have plenty of RP that isn't so convoluted, and also for criminals to find precious blueprints (and money doesn't hurt). I was going to start this thread by listing a bunch of ideas and solutions, but the truth is, I firmly believe that the Bank Truck Robbery scenario is something that will continue to be nothing more than a source of drama and concern no matter what rules are put in place.

I agree, either make it harder to do so it’s a bigger deal, or remove it all together.

agreed 100%, bank trucks have issues both OOC and IC. Drama is BS and not necessary at all

Rather than take out the resource that we've spent time and money on, we should continue to improve on the resource, making them rarer than they currently are.

I'll be working with LE to optimize and reduce the ability to do truck robberies. The ultimate goal originally was for this, but it seems we overlooked a few things.

I think theyre just fine to be honest. Dont have real issue's with them

I'm going to provide input about bank trucks from the cop side. Most of the time, we come upon a bank truck. There is immediate shooting from both sides. It's extremely toxic and discouraging when most of the cops are downed because of the immediate shooting. When cops are ambushed with no way to exit, I don't see how there is roleplay there or when crims get shot on sight. It goes both ways with the toxicity. Either find a way to fix these issues or remove bank trucks entirely.

I've been saying it should be removed since before the new system so I agree entirely, I would much rather prefer a more complex way or instead allowing a building robbery instead so the police can at least have some kind of way to roleplay it without having to shoot on site.

to be clear here guys & gals, police can change the way we "Shoot on sight" by just saying we no longer shoot on sight, these problems disappear the second that happens. we're the ones who made the change.

Tbh, I like bank trucks, and I like the different nature of coming into an active scenario that you can get shot at immediately, why? because it feels real.

The only time I am annoyed at these scenes to recent memory is when I arrive on scene (near scene in actual fact) and everyone's running away, I personally want to flex pd's tactic's arm and have improvement across the board for law enforcement tactics to make it harder for crims to escape (& make police die less), but if that is effective then the money you get from the trucks should be increased.

These scenes should not have drama, and should not cause any issues. I am confused on why it does. everyone who goes into a bank truck by now should understand, police are going to shoot and crims are too. so why is there drama?

on the point of "promotes what I believe is not in line with the policy of Edgegamers (No punk gaming)" we have to remember that this is a roleplay server, where we play characters who aren't us. More often than not, people (and I will generalize here) people take player death, gun fights, theft and arrests way to personally. I've seen it on many occasions where I'm getting cursed out or yelled at by someone in the cells because I arrested them or other people arrested them.

if you arrive on scene of a bank truck and get immediately gunned down as police, then its either, you misplayed (pushed up to quickly without a proper defense, or pushed up to where you could get shot from roof tops you did not clear) or the criminals did really well with their positioning.

or you are a criminal robbing a bank truck with lets say 1 other friend, and you immediately get shot while looting the back (idk if this is how it works for the new one btw) or you get shot on the retreat

there are ways to avoid this happening to you, for police, you can use air one, come from a direction where there is no rooftop access, move up in the strongwall formation covering roof tops while moving towards the truck with minimal cover, or even climb to the rooftops yourselves, air one in itself completely voids good positioning by crims, as if you can be seen from the sky your spot is done.

for crims all it takes is good positioning and maybe a big bus or something to cover you looting, or even being a bit patient and killing all the cops before looting, you could also lead a bank truck, or follow it until its in a spot to where you could have great cover from all sides and even the sky to have good positioning, the tactics for the defender can be endless. (additionally you could have an escape plan where police would have a ton of trouble chasing or shooting at you)

My final point's here; it looks like this won't be removed and rather changed to where they are harder, so all these problems people are having will be bigger issues, so what I ask, is to go in to a bank truck understanding that you can and will be shot at instantly in these scenes (applies to both police and crims) you might get outplayed one day, but that's okay. losing is apart of the game, minimize your losses by not losing everyone and getting a warrant(police) & dropping your items in a safer location/not coming in with something you don't want to lose(crims)

maybe everyone of this thread can push instead to make these bank trucks to where they aren't shoot on sight anymore.

For all the toxicity regarding "shoot on sight" It shouldn't be happening. There should be an interaction prior to the shooting from either side.

Here's my ideas for bank trucks. Instead of them spawning with guards that you have to shoot. What if they spawned with no one inside (like the guards are dropping off items etc) and cops get alerted once you steal the truck of a general area. Once you steal the truck, it has a tracker that pings PD every few minutes or if you go over a certain speed and a passenger in the truck has to deactivate said tracking device. Once you deactivate the tracking device you can thermite the back of the truck (the block mini game) and the timer on the thermite is much faster than it is now. This would eliminate the need for immediate shooting from anyone and make the experience more than just shooting, blowing up door, looting. There's chances PD sees the truck as you're driving it, there's chances they catch up to the delayed pings, there's chances you accidentally go over the speed and it pings PD etc. Thus causing more "hunt / chase" scenarios here. Thoughts?
