Unable to use full RAM.

Hello,

So recently I upgraded my RAM to 16 gigs from 8 gigs. However, Windows 10 will not let me use all my RAM, only half of it. In the past, I had this issue and I would disable the onboard video card and this would fix it. The onboard was under the north bridge in BIOS. This time, I'm having an issue with locating it. Below is a picture of my resource monitor I dubbed "what in the ****"

I have tried the common Google responses, but nothing is working. I've read the manual for my motherboard, which can be found here. The closest I can see from my end for the onboard graphics is greyed out in my BIOS, under primary video adapter, which can be seen below.

Does anyone have any other ideas? Something is reserving half my RAM, and I can't figure out what it is and it's bothering me. My next step is to use memtest86, but that takes forever and I'm not suspecting any RAM issues.
 
Ric Ric pull one stick of RAM and see if the number shifts or goes away. Could be an indicator of a faulty stick.

Windows generally won't report ram as system reserved if a stick is faulty.

Hardware reserved RAM is usually BIOS or Drivers in almost every case I've seen dealing with this at work. Make sure everything is up to date. The onboard graphics is grayed out because your CPU doesn't have onboard graphics. Most newer AMD Ryzen processors don't.
 
Not sure of this helps did you put the sticks right like in dual channel and not single channel?

This is not the case, in the screenshot he sent it clearly shows the system is reading the full 16 Gb as physical RAM.

I recommend you updating the BIOS or in the other hand reset the BIOS to its original, maybe re installing windows will do something too
 
Hmm.. This is a weird one. I updated my BIOS, the issue still persists.

When I go into my BIOS/UEFI and I load the default, when the PC boots, it shows I have 16 gigs of RAM usable. So does the Resource Monitor. It no longer shows it as Hardware Reserved. However, once I restart again and I do not go into my BIOS/UEFI to load default settings, it goes back to showing 16 gigs(7.93 usable) with the Hardware Reserved back. I've done this twice now.

Are they identical sticks? What rank are they ?
 
Hardware reserved means that integrated graphics use that RAM as working memory, since the integrated graphics have no equivalent to vRAM. What amount to reserve for integrated graphics is managed from within the EFI firmware. If you have no use out of integrated graphics, disable them, if you do -- find the setting to modify the allocation amount.
 
I could not figure out what the issue was, so I decided to just build a new PC.

I'll use the same RAM and video card for this build, but get a new CPU, motherboard, and PSU and see if that resolves the issue.
