Not Planned Listing EGO Events in Other Discords (Overwatch)

I'm going to get straight to the point, so in the Overwatch server there'd be a drop down on the side that says something like "Separate EGO Events" including a faq on where/how to join and a list of upcoming events. I feel a lot of people in that discord aren't aware of the other aspects of EGO, so that would be a way to get them more involved, while the Overwatch discord would remain active.

if i were interested in overwatch i would join the discord. if i were interested in GTA i would join the discord. if i were interested in genshin impact i would join the discord.

why should those events clutter the main discord and the events of the divisions without dedicated discord servers, when they have their own place?

I agree, sopheyy . Everyone wants more discord servers and the argument was to have separate events and conversations, but now people want both. Either pick one or the other in my opinion.

The point of having separate discord servers aren't for them to be separate from eGO. At the end of the day everything is under eGO, the reason Overwatch or Genshin have a separate servers is because 1. They don't have dedicated servers 2. Because the main discord, at the time, did not have the ability to house any game effectively and 3. It's easier to recruit. We are currently testing having all events on the main discord, wether it will work or not for discords like Overwatch who knows. Either way Overwatch events have been advertised on the main discord server even when it isn't on it. Therefore it would make sense if the Overwatch server would also advertise any events on the main discord. This wouldn't add clutter to the main discord (because we already advertise in it.) if anything it would add clutter to the other discords.

I believe people have a misunderstanding of what's happening.

The main server was refreshed to allow the entire community to come together in one area, hence why all events will be posted on the main server. The suggestion was created that we advertise other eGO events in the separated servers. bringing them all together just that much more. This is not saying anyone has to attend these posted events.

The point of more discords isn't for separation from eGO as a whole it just allows easier growth.

Kinda the point of the thread and something to be worked on in the near future. Having events being advertised through every discord.
