This goes off a suggestion stern initially suggested but kind of side tracked on it so I am making my own suggestion. Stern’s post is about being able to client-side record your own demos. I don’t remember as to why this is not added already because it seems like a feature that would’ve been on eGO from the start and I know other servers have e same issue. I’m just going to copy and paste what I said on stern’s post and add a little more.
It can be very very useful to a server to have a bot GOTV. To be able to record demos and get the full picture of what any given situation may look like whether it is a ban contest, ban report, or just maybe to try to find how a bug was caused in game, or even for your case to be able to make some pretty cool stuff with it. A lot of players don't use a shadowplay or if they do they don't give a well enough video of what happened in-game and they really only see their perspective, and a GOTV bot able to get that full picture of what went down. It was brought up in the CS meeting today to have something like this implemented but was kind of turned down. Especially from an admin perspective it’s a pretty key advantage to be able to go back and fully see what happened if they was some sort of issue on the server. For new admins to be able to go back and see where they went wrong is decent for training. The bot does have to take up a user slot which needs to be kept in mind. Otherwise it is not to hard to set up. Thanks for reading.
