How old were you when you got your very first personal computer?

12, My brother and I split the price half way and I paid him back as I got older.

I was 12, my parents bought it for my studies. But my little sister had one when she was 10.
I think the next generation will have computers from the age of 6)

Actually quite young - i think i was 8 years old, one of my relatives gave us their old machine for me to tinker with. I can't remember the processor speed but it definitely only had 128MB of RAM. I didn't have a Windows disc so had to burn multiple CD's to build a Fedora Core 2 or 3 install at the time. It was fun to tinker with and learn to take apart and put together.

Later on another relative tossed us their old laptop. It ran Runescape nicely for a while!

My uncle got me an eMachine around 2009 when I was 10 or 11. Wasn't great but it got me through the years. Built my first proper PC in late 2016 and just built a new one in December 2021.

13, used to have a close family friend id go on craigslist hunts with and he came across a pc. After we got back he made me take the entire thing apart and clean it with q-tips and isopropyl alcohol because previous owner glued everything in (apparently the lady had it mailed to her and the original builder was an idiot). Afterwards he said he'd sell it to me for 200 bucks at 40 bucks a week. He passed away but started my passion for PC's and building them and im not sure ill ever go back to console

Commodore 64...it SUCKED! HARD!
