SO I was playing Warpath yesterday evening... I was playing medic (as I do only on the Warpath server).... had charged up an uber to break through to the other team's second point with a pyro.

Just as we exited the tunnel and I hit the uber, I see a lightning strike outside of my window and my power goes out.

I forget who I was ubering, but I have to appologize... I laughed for a couple of minutes about getting you out in the open surrounded by the enemy and then getting shut off like that.

It made me wonder if I just dropped dead or what at that moment... :D
 
lol i hate when that happens. happened to me the first day i got TF2 and i frequently have medics disconnect on me when there at 100% and im a lone heavy in the midst of sentries, pyros, soldiers, and demomen.
 
haha i hate when that happens (i often play medic too). If you didn't hit the uber before you got disc then you probably just froze in place and lagged to disconnect. If you did hit the uber i wonder if it wouldve stayed on (as long as your uberee stayed in range).
 
Lightning just struck outside my house about 50 ft. from where I was sitting and my power is still on...
 
I frequently have similar situations as a medic. I work so hard to get my uber up without dying...then I find a heavy or a pyro or someone else that could use an uber and I tell him over voice chat, "OK, you're about to get an uber.....right....now!"

Just then, 9 times out of 10, a spy backstabs me. Afterwards the guy I was about to uber says, "Did you just get backstabbed?" and laughs.

I have to be more careful :)
 
LOL had the same thing happen to me a few days ago except it was a crit rocket. I swear it came out of nowhere. Just Boom and i was dead.
 
I actually had a similar incident back during my TFC days. Myself and 4 more friends on our hall were play on CZ2. For those of you who aren't familiar with TFC, this was a map where there were 5 flags at different points on the map. The goal was to grab all 5 and bring them back to your base. It was a difficult but fun map.

Anyway, we were pwning the server, probably due to the fact that we had direct communication more than our skill. (This was 9 years ago and there was no voicechat over the servers.) We're just rolling the server. I've got the last flag, and 3 of my friends are covering my retreat back to the base. Then all of the lights go out for a good 20 seconds or so. Suddenly all of my friends have lagged out and I am left alone. I'm the only one on the floor with a UPS. I got pwned pretty quickly by some advancing enemies right after that. :(
