Need Steam help please =)

Can anyone tell me how to delete friends? Steam tells me that my friends list is full and I want to take off the people that haven't been active in the last 30 days but I can't figure out how. Any suggestions?

go to the friends list, right click and select remove friend

You have to do it from within game (I'm pretty sure, anyway!)

It works easier if you do it from within your game; you know, while you're playing, say TF2, open your Steam overlay using SHIFT+TAB. Your friends list should pop up. Use your mouse and RIGHT+CLICK the friend you want to remove, and the lowest menu option will be Remove this friend...

I think you have to do it one friend at a time, too ...so repeat like a hundred times

Ok i tried that but the problem is when i alt-tab in game it only shows my top friends and they aren't the ones I want to delete and it won't let me right click on anyone when I go to view all friends.

You don't have to be in game to delete friends. Right click your Steam icon in the tray > Friends > Right click person you want to remove > Hit the bottom option "Remove this friend... > Confirm it

Make sure you have the "Show online users only" unchecked.

Open your friends list, and hit the middle option at the top titled "View." to make sure it's unchecked.

Do not alt tab in game for steam. Alt shift will bring up steam within the game.

thanks Desert Fox, I didn't know you could pull up the steam friends that way

now if only there was some way to mass delete your friends list; well, either that or add the entire eGO commnuity to your friends list

Thank you Desert that worked! Just time consuming.

If I deleted anyone don't take it personally just deleted people that hadn't been active in the last 10 days. Add me back if you are back.

Because my friends list was full and it wouldn't let me add anyone else unless I deleted some people.
