Hey Hey I'm a notorious spawn camper and I think I'm possible the best demo ever . well the other day I was spawn camping tf2 by myself in 2fort and basically I was just owning the other team which had over 15 players. I had to stop because the server has a "no punk" rule from what a mod told me that was on my team. Not sure if this is okay or not or he had too many people complaining . this spawn camping takes simple team work to break. Uber medic or someone gets blown up and then the other runs out. I dont understand. I must have got about 30 kills because my kill streak ended at 33 and I killed 3 on the way inside.

So is it okay or not?

From what i have heard, technically, it is possible to spawn camp as long as they can kill you, meaning no glitches. That being said, it is in poor sportsmanship, for me at least, to spawn camp another team. Basically, you are killing the game before it gets started. Why have an entire map to play on when each team can just camp a spawn and fight it out in a few feet of map?

You could do it, but i would hate your guts for doing it.

As long as its not obstructing the overall goal of the map, then its fine.

For example:

The last I heard, its okay to spawn camp to stop the defenders from getting to the rest of your team who are pushing the cart, but its NOT okay to stop the cart a few inches from the checkpoint so you can trap the team and rack up points.

There is no rule against spawn camping on our servers, provided it's in the interest of the goals of the map. Say, like, on Turbine. It's a CTF. Imagine most of RED goes and pins BLU down in their spawn, while a couple scouts cap the intel to win. That's perfectly legal, and a decent strategy at that. However, if RED decides to ignore the intel completely and turn that hallway into a deathmatch, that's bad. Dustbowl makes another good example. Many times RED will be good enough that they can pin BLU back in the spawn and hold a strong defense until time runs out. That's what they're supposed to to. It helps to accomplish the map objective, and is therefore perfectly legal.

Spawn camping in TF2 is a legitimate strategy on eGO servers.

The only exception is if the team goal is not being advanced. For example, the blue team is camping the red team and a significant time passes without blue capping the now unguarded points.
