Hey guys, I've finally decided on the computer I want to build, but I'm stuck on one thing. Well two actualy. I need to decided on what VC and what Processor.

Okay, so I'm still deiciding on the processor I picked out or an AMD Phenom X4 9550 Quad Core 2.2GHZ. So Should I go slower or Quad Core?

And with the VC I am decidding on The one I have up there or a Radeon HD 4850 OEM 625MHZ 512 MG GDDR3 1.985 GHZ PCI-E Dual DVI

IMO I would go for the Intel Quadcore, I built my first rig with it and haven't any kind of truble.

For the GPU, that depends on how comfortable you are with ATI, but since you will use a SLI MB, Nvidia is the card.

Everything else seems just fine...

I will state this right now.

Quad - Good for Video Editing and Photoshop Bad for gaming.
Duo - Uber good for day to day tasks and a firetrail leaver in gaming.

I would repeat what MrQ said, and even suggest the extra money for the E8500. It will be years before quad core is used to any significant advantage. By then you will get a new PC. No PSU or case?

MrQ is totally right with the quad/dual core

dual cores are best for gaming right now

yeah, I'll probably stick with the dual and I didn't bother to write the case down.

E8500 is like 3.2ghz? you could over clock the 8400 to 3.6ghz with stock and its cheaper.

VC - XFX XXX Edition 9600GT 512mb <- i have it and if i coulda i woulda bought a second, fabulous card, no problems (just use nvidias drivers off thier site, not XFX's...)
