sweet looking board P45 are supposed to be real nice chipsets


only downside is when in crossfire the PCI Express lanes run at 8x and will bottleneck the newer ATI cards.

I was going to pickup a P45 chipset until I seen that too. Aww well, there's always the X48 Rampage.

I just got in a Gigabyte X48 board for my next build being finished this week. It was one of the cheapest X48 boards I could find.

most of those features are basically automated OCing utilities, It's capable of Dual 16x PCI Express so XFire won't be bottlenecked, if you ever go any more then 2 it will bottleneck tho.


Unless you plan on Overclocking your comp, there isn't anything really outstanding about the board.

I built my first PC with Maximus Formula Special Edition Motherboard, and in my opinion I made a good choice with it. Everything is working smoothly. Go for Maximus II Formula!
