this is a suggestion i got when i heard about a election for mayor is in the works, id like a treasury to be added aswell, and a treasurer position the mayor could put someone into. but when a mayor is elected they should be able to set Taxes. Housing Taxes ( if someone owns a house monthly a tax on the properties they own will be given to the state. A Sales tax where they can put a rate of 1% upwards of lets say 20% sales tax (per dollar) on Gas Stations, Markets, Gun Stores, and Car Dealerships could have it automatically taken, but player owned and operated shops and restaurants we'd need a IRS to collect from them. All taxes taken would be put into a Vault somewhere lets say in city hall and people could rob it??? / government officials could take money out but the Books would show who took it out unless they opted for anonymous but thered have to be a way to track down who took the money out.. itd be a cool addition imo and if theres ever a corrupt mayor who raises taxes high well they would get voted out quickly id presume but itd make way for some good rp
