A USB headset?

Hey guys, i've been searching around TD for a headset to replace my half working pair right now. I found this one http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3636430&CatId=2383

It looked good until I saw the thing that said USB. I can't tell if that USB is better than just a normal pair of 5.1 like these http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicat...ils.asp?EdpNo=3566390&sku=T26-1098&srkey=ax51

Any thoughts?

USB probably requires drivers, jesus christ, 60 bucks is way to much for a headset, i payed 7 bucks for mine and it works well

i personally love my USB headset... yeah you have to install drivers for it, but you would have to do the same with any sound card... i have a $30 pair, and like i said... i love it!

I have the Rocketfish USB ones. I love them.

Not sure if there's a difference, but they're great for gaming. Oh, and I didnt install drivers, Vista just had to find them.

Why wouldn't I? i'm getting the X-fi Platinum Fatal1ty one with that headset
The platinum is better than titanium anyways lol.

because USB headsets have their own sound software built in so it won't use your sound card whatsoever?
