I bought Gang Chat for 20k credits and it was there for a day and then the next day gang chat was gone and the proverbial vending machine ate my credits.

no evidence but i can try to replicate. i won the jackpot today lol so i can just send my credits into the proverbial vending machine and try again

this is similar to the report i made a while back about my perks from gang dissapearing

It's a known issue that happens (no ETA on a fix), although we can't do anything about it (whether it be restoring credits or perks) unless there's proof that you've had it at one point.

With no evidence I can't help much. This issue should be fixed next update hopefully.
